BackLinks.com Review

Company: BackLinks.com

Services: Buy & Sell Text Links

backlinks

The Rundown

Backlinks.com exceeded my expectations within 15 minutes of registering as a new user (advertiser). The advertiser’s user interface is very straight forward. You can add your sites very quickly without having to worry about writing long descriptions and lists of keywords. Simply enter in your site URL, your desired anchor text, and select from the large (but manageable) list of website categories. Click next and you’ve just added your first site.

Once your site has been added to their system, click select links to begin finding relevant backlinks to your website. You will be brought to a page which lists all categories, or you can simply search for the type of site you’re looking for. One click later you are presented with a list of websites related to your selection. I was impressed on the speed of the backlinks.com system, there is almost no wait for returning search results and I must say they’ve built up quite a large and impressive clientele. (more…)

Does Your Blog Have a Ping List?

A very important, yet, often overlooked aspect of and link building (for a blog) is your ping list. This is one of the simplest ways to get your content indexed by search engines within a matter of minutes. It will also help you to get ping backs from other blogs (and scraper sites) which will in turn build your backlinks.

If you’re using Wordpress as your blogging platform simply go to your admin section. Click Options, then click Writing.

Then paste the following text in the ping list field:

http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
http://pingoat.com/goat/RPC2/
http://pingqueue.com/rpc/
http://ping.feedburner.com
http://www.bloglines.com/ping
http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2

This is just a basic example of a ping list, some people have hundreds of different sites in their list. However I limit most of my blogs to these primary services as I have found them the most useful.

Juicy Link Finder Review

Company: SEOmoz.org

What is it? SEO Link Building Tool

The Rundown

Find High Authority, Juicy Links for next to nothing
This is the tool that “roped” me into buying a pro account with seomoz, and boy am I glad I jumped on the bandwagon with this one. The juicy link finder has helped me take client sites to the top of Google rankings for highly competitive keywords within a matter of weeks.

How It Works

The genius of this tool is in the simplicity of the user experience, the front end is incredibly simple. Input your keyword/keyphrase, select the number of results: 50,100, 150 or 200, and let seomoz work their magic. A few brief minutes later you are presented with the results in order of importance. The “juiciest” link being at the top of the list, and the least juiciest link resides at the bottom.

The beauty of this tool is that you will very often find unlikely hidden gems with high authority. I once found a very old site related to one of my niches hosted on an old geocities account. However, this site had HUGE authority within my niche and the webmaster didn’t even know it. I contacted him immediately to negotiate a link on his site and he was more than happy to give me a permenant link for an incredibly low price. 2 weeks later our site was ranked #3 in Google for that keyword (which was highly competitive). Link Diagnosis

This is a great tool for examining your site’s back links. The best part about LinkDiagnosis is that it’s 100% free to use with no restrictions. Just go to their website, enter the desired URL, and click Start. It normally only takes a minute or two for most sites(depending on the amount of back links to the site you’re examining). After the brief wait you are presented with some extremely useful data. It shows your total unique back links, a unique back link is defined as one unique domain name linking back to your site. Ask2Link Review

Company: Ask2Link

Services:Buy & Sell Text Links

The Rundown

At first glance, Ask2Link appears to be your typical, run of the mill text link marketplace. The thing that impressed me the most about this company is the simplicity and speed at which you can buy and sell text links. These guys roped me in good with a customized email, fitted personally to me and my company (at least it appeared that way). If this email was automated, I am thoroughly impressed with the skills of the writer and developer. In this email, they expressed interest in starting a business relationship with one of my SEO companies. This peaked my interest and I clicked the sender’s signature to check out what they have going on over on their website. (more…)
